We are more than thrilled to once again announce this exclusive, live online masterclass with acclaimed actor and coach Kirk Baltz. This time in collaboration with Den Danske Scenekunstskoles Efter- og Videreuddannelse (Denmark) and TeaterAlliansen (Sweden).

In the four-week class, which takes place each Wednesday starting on February 21st 2024, Kirk will combine dreamwork with building a character.

ABOUT THE MASTERCLASS
Within each of us resides an unconscious realm of dreams. When we lift these dreams to the surface and nurture them, we find they have a lot to offer us.
The images, emotions and feelings from our dreams spark insights we don’t have in the waking world. When we explore our experiences in the non-waking world, we often find creative freedom.
In this course, we will be working with the script «A Lie of The Mind» by Sam Shepard. Through journaling, drawing, and writing you will converse with your inner self in a way that opens you to authentic acting.

TIME AND PLACE
When: Wednesdays February 21st, February 28th, March 6th and March 13th 2024 at 19.00-21.00.
Where: The Class will be streamed via Zoom. Zoom is available in all browsers or from your SmartPhone/Tablet. It’s vital to have reliable, good internet connection. Zoom access will be sent 24 hours prior to the start of each session via email.

ON THE DAY

• Arrive to the Zoom waiting room at least five minutes early to limit any technical difficulties
• Enter the Meeting ID number
• Enter the Meeting password
• Select «with Video» & «Internet Audio»
• Enjoy!

PREPARATION
Scenes and Character Building from Sam Shepard’s “A Lie of The Mind”.

• Please give the screenplay a thorough read and allow it to sink in. Do some writing on ‘What feelings and emotions does the script bring up in you?’ and ‘How does it change or affect you?’. We will be doing character development and scene work with this remarkable screenplay.
• Additionally there will be Dream assignments given to you before your first session.
