Pitching in international contexts!

Showing other professionals the value in your work can be triggering ambivalent feelings. However this workshop aims to create a safe environment, where you and your colleagues identify the essences in your work and what difference/value it can bring to collaborators. SHINE YOUR WORK provides you with tools to handle the heightened focus on becoming visible.

Stepping into an arena of attracting attention, becoming visible and standing out can trigger many feelings and behavioral patterns. Facilitator Karen Toftegaard – CEO of WILDTOPIA – always aims to support creatives in understanding themselves, other people and the world in order to navigate consciously when selling your work – shamelessly and unapologetically. Karen is acknowledged for her down-to-earth, cut to the chase, concrete exercise-centered workshops, so you get to have as much outcome as possible.

We will work with these aspects in the workshop:
• Identify values and the creative DNA
• Identifying your promotion/international strategy based on the essence of your work
• Development the strongest narratives and selling-points on your work.
• Training pitch-tools
• Reality check on your narrative in different cultural contexts
• Action plan and integrity anchor
• Individual mentoring with tuned-in focus on your work and the strengths in it.

Output from the workshop
Ready-made elevatorpitch on-the-go and a more formal pitch to a pitch-session with workshop exercises centered around the essence of your work and your promotion/international strategy

When and where
• 30th of September: Online introduction meeting where first task is presented for the participants to prepare in advance.
• 7th-8th of October: In person workshop in Oslo
• The in-person workshop will be followed by one 1-on-1 reflection/mentoring session (45 minutes) per participant in the period 14.10.2024 – 01.11.2024. The purpose of the reflection session is to tune in on strategies and narratives that are best aligned with each individual.
