A two-day workshop for professional actors and directors. Led by Irish Film Director — Yvonne McDevitt — this workshop will focus on the following:
- Mastery of the technical skills and techniques needed to enable
truthful screen performances
- A profound understanding of the creative relationship between actor
and director and the artistic possibilities within that relationship
- The ability to critically locate yourself within the discipline and the
capability to innovate through practice based research methods

No preparation is needed for the workshop, nor is it necessary to do any further work between the workshop days.
Yvonne McDevitt read Drama at Trinity College Dublin. Thereafter she was a Dramaturg for Robert Wilson at L’Opéra Bastille in Paris.
After an apprenticeship at the Royal Court, Young Vic and National Theatres in London, her productions played on the main-stages of Russia (Hermitage Theatre, Moscow), France (Théâtre National Populaire, Lyon) and Norway (National Theatre, Oslo).
She was awarded a JERWOOD DIRECTORS AWARD at the Young Vic Theatre, London in 2002, and the JUDITH E. WILSON Drama Fellowship at the University of Cambridge 2004-06.
Her first zero-budget feature film — 2GRAVES — with music by Oscar-nominated composer Michael Nyman – premiered at the East End Film Festival in London in 2013.
She was selected for BERLINALE TALENTS at the 64th Berlin International Film Festival in 2014.
